I love contrast. It grabs my gaze and imagination. When it comes to nature, it has me reaching for my camera (like this photo I took of my fern and Japanese maple).

It seemed within a tick of the clock Cindy was pulling into her garage. She shut off the engine. The dim, quiet space made her more aware of Will’s closeness. His scent of male and spice wrapped around her. She turned to him.

I can’t decide what I love more about this delicate mushroom— its paper-thin top or the single drop of dew in its center. Either way, I'm so glad I grabbed my camera and captured the moment of a peaceful morning before settling at my desk to write.
