Hi,
This fall, I am determined to have Lilly’s story ready for you this fall.
My daughter had her playlist on in the car and a Zach Bryan song came on and the feeling of it stopped me. I went down the rabbit hole after that, listening to everything I could find while writing.
And if I’m being honest? His sound fits Olivier more than Lilly. He’s a kid who grew up with nothing, made mistakes that cost more than even he knows, causing him to carry weight he can’t put down. That’s Olivier to his core.
But somewhere in all of that listening, Lilly’s voice got louder too. Clearer. Like she needed his world to find her words, her way. And when I stumbled upon “Letting Someone Go” and every single verse filled their story. That’s all I’ll say. Go listen if you want to understand where both of them are when their story begins. That song is your way in.
And speaking of Lilly’s story — you’re getting the official title here first:
The Bourbon Betrayal.
While Lilly’s story is being written, I didn’t want to leave you empty-handed this summer. I’ve got you covered. On July 28th I’ve joined a romance book blast packed with romance reads, including Book 1 in the Blackstone Billionaires series, The Bourbon Bet, completely free. Mark your calendar — though I will send out a reminder on the day. Consider it your summer reading starter pack.
