Dear Passion Pursuers,
Hi! I hope you didn’t miss the special email about the stuff your Kindle day that I had sent out about a week ago! I’d offered Smooth Sailing (and picked up a few books I can’t wait to read). I’m in the heat of summer and so far it’s been a hot one in Michigan. I can’t believe that in last month’s newsletter I actually said I didn’t think spring would leave! What’s the weather been like for you?
Hot or not, this is my favorite time of the year. I’ve been busy outside, either on the water, on my motorcycle, or in the garden. Below is a photo of my little plot. I’m proud because I don’t have much of a green thumb, yet everything is thriving!

Speaking of things that are thriving, my writing projects are growing just as well as my garden! I’ve written a few more chapters in both the stories I was telling you about last month (The Little Red Riding Hood adult romance retelling and Hope and Jackson’s story from the Lake House Love series) And….
🥃 NEWSLETTER EXCLUSIVE: THE BOURBON BET COVER REVEAL! 🥃
My dear readers, you’re getting the very first look at something I’m incredibly excited to share!

A bookstore. A bet. A love that could destroy them both.
I need sixty days. That’s how long I have to save my bookstore and my father’s home before all my dreams go into foreclosure. When a powerful man offers me a deal: seduce his estranged brother and steal from him at the Derby party. I should say no, but Sebastian Blackstone and I already have a spark. I just need to turn it into a fire… and not get burned.
This isn’t about love. It’s a bet, a way to finally cut my brother loose. Rosalia is the bait. Sweet. Sharp. Sent to play me. And I let her. Because I want to believe she’s different. I’m betting on it. And when she moans my name like it’s real, I almost believe her. In bourbon country, family betrayals go down smoother than aged whiskey. With the Derby clock ticking and their hearts tangled in lies and desire, when the truth finally spills, can love survive the burn?

Help Me Name the Next Blackstone Brother!
While I’m putting the finishing touches on The Bourbon Bet, I’ve decided to change the brother’s name. It doesn’t have main character energy, and that needed to change, since I’m writing his book next. Right now I have him as Clayton, but I feel like it doesn’t quite match the sophistication of Sebastian and their sister, Genevieve.
